So today we've cleaned the flat, and it certainly needed it after this weekends shenanigans. I made pancakes the night before and put them in the freezer, so this morning we just popped them into the toaster and had fresh pancakes with maple syrup, yum! If it weren't so unhealthy I'd have them every day, but no, I think not.
Nothing interesting to report really, we're watching The Village now and after that it's my Most Haunted night on tv, and oh yeah, Sean is making scones which will be lovely. Yay English!

Work tomorrow which will be nice :)

I'm currently crap at updating this blog 'cause of the extreme lack of my own camera (I can't go stealing Sean's all the time) but this will be sorted.

I thought I'd show you something I'm quite proud of though, these are the mini smörgåstårtor (like.... sandwich cakes?) I made for New Years dinner.
Vóila!


That's smoked salmon wrapped around 'em, not human flesh. We were fresh out of that.

Anyhoo, we went out and about on the town when the magical hour approached...

Well, it's been ages since I blogged here because of well... life getting in the way. A new year has started, it's off to a slow start but what the heck, what year hasn't been? I'm constantly promising myself I'll join a gym (which I finally have, now all I have to do is get used to going there every day...), quit smoking (don't wanna), party less (shan't) and other things that equal a healthy but slightly boring life.

Sean and I are on the hunt for a nice 2nd hand sofa and ceiling lamp for the kitchen but we can't find anything, I need a sofa now!

Anyhoo, here are some photos I took while out checking out the thrift stores...

Occasionally we like to eat in front of the TV in the living room, on the floor.
Yeah, i know, we're meant to be adults, but to hell with that. It's cozy.


We chucked a tin of stawberry pie filing into the slad spinner (you know, like any normal person would) to separate the strawberries from the jam-like um... jam they were swimming around in (shut up, it's been a long day...)

It looked like the slime from Ghostbusters II.

Don't worry, it's loaded with positive energy :)

By that time I was nearly done with the pancakes.

A while back there was some drama in the streets...


We had no idea what was going on but there were police and fire fighters everywhere, and they were all gathering outside the house next door...


Two ambulances showed up...


So Brittsh went out to see what was going on...

...and take a few photos as well, of course.

There I am, drinking coffee, watching the drama from above and hoping the place isn't on fire...


...which it didn't seem to be, there was no smoke or any visual disturbance going on.

"For the love of God, don't tell me the doughnuts are on fire!!!" people were yelling, I'm sure. I would.


We never found out what happend, it will most likely be a mystery forever. Bugs me beyond no end.
